Summary:

On a significant annual holiday, Yang Jie receives a mysterious letter from the head of her former orphanage, beckoning her to visit. However, upon her arrival, the head denies having any knowledge of the letter. Intrigued by the enclosed train ticket, Yang Jie decides to embark on the journey from Xijiang to Qingming that evening. Before departing, she receives sentimental keepsakes from the head of the orphanage. Exhausted by haunting nightmares and the effects of sleeping pills, Yang Jie dozes off in the waiting area, delving into a ghostly dream. As she boards the train, the atmosphere feels somber and the conductor, Lin Zhenfei, appears unwelcoming. During her voyage, Yang Jie encounters a captivating fellow traveler named Hongmao, whose mysterious disappearances and reappearance pique her curiosity. Meanwhile, an emotionally distraught woman named Xie Yao fervently believes that Yang Jie is her long-lost daughter, Tingting, whom she has been searching for tirelessly over the past 18 years.
