Summary:

A young and compassionate mechanic, known for his warmth and generosity, shares a close bond with his restaurateur father. This caring son provides support in the family business whenever possible. His routine life takes an interesting turn when he encounters a new high school student in their neighborhood, a young girl who is often harassed by a local motorcycle gang. Displaying his inherent kindness, he steps in to help the girl, and a strong connection forms between them.

Not long after, during a night out at a friend's bar, the mechanic inadvertently makes an enemy of a problematic individual, the latter of whom begins to bear a grudge. On a momentous occasion—the birthday of his high school friend—the well-intentioned mechanic sets out to purchase a thoughtful gift reflecting her affection for felines. Sadly, a chance encounter with his adversary leads to a crushing incident where a treasured gift is destroyed underfoot, inciting a physical altercation that ends in tragedy with an accidental death.

The fallout from this incident is manipulated by the influence of a powerful family, resulting in an unjust legal outcome for the kindhearted mechanic. Despite receiving heartfelt letters from his high school confidant, circumstances prevent him from responding. Time passes, with the young student eventually halting her correspondence to focus on academic pursuits, though she keeps the memory of her friend close to her heart through the symbolic necklace.

Upon his release from a five-year incarceration, the mechanic returns to a world where his father has since remarried, creating an unwelcoming dynamic in the family home, courtesy of his new stepmother.
