Once upon a time, in the vast realm of television dramas, there was a new adaptation of a beloved story. Our brave reviewer, armed with their experience of previous versions, embarked on a journey to uncover the hidden depths of this series.

With a heavy heart, they confessed to having already watched the Korean and Chinese renditions, each leaving a varying impression on their delicate senses. The Korean version, it seemed, had won their favor, while the Chinese adaptation fell short. And so, they approached this...

newest rendition with a mix of anticipation and trepidation.

From the very first episode, our reviewer found themselves grappling with conflicting emotions. The comedy in this version was laid on thick, almost too much for their refined taste. It left them craving a more subtle and nuanced approach to the art of acting. Even the attire of the characters failed to ignite enthusiasm within their discerning eye. The male lead, in particular, seemed to be perpetually trapped in a world of brown suits, even wearing one on his wedding day. A fashion faux pas, indeed. The female lead's wardrobe fared slightly better, though the rest of the ensemble cast appeared as if plucked straight from the realm of caricature.

Surprisingly, unlike the previous versions, our reviewer failed to succumb to Second Lead Syndrome (SLS) in this latest incarnation. Despite the male lead's sweet and caring nature, it was his choice of facial hair – a little mustache and goatee – that made our reviewer question his appeal. Yet, they still acknowledged the undeniable attachment the female lead displayed towards him, even going as far as allowing him to steal a kiss before he departed.

Comparing the male leads across the different versions, our reviewer found this particular adaptation's leading man to be more likable. However, they couldn't quite connect with his attractiveness, or lack thereof. The female lead, on the other hand, started off a bit dowdy, but her beauty radiated throughout the series, captivating our reviewer's heart.

However, it was the recurring theme of betrayal by the female lead's best friend that plagued all versions of the story, leaving our reviewer deeply troubled. How could a true friend commit such an unspeakable act? The fact that the female lead continuously found herself apologizing for the transgressions inflicted upon her by her closest confidante was a disturbing narrative thread that persisted throughout all renditions.

Despite its flaws, our reviewer found solace in the sweetness exuded by the main couple of this version. Their love blossomed like a delicate flower, unburdened by the shortcomings of the story itself. Having delved into a few other T dramas prior, our reviewer couldn't shake their discomfort with the exaggerated acting style commonly found within the realm. However, they acknowledged that this preference was a matter of personal taste, and perhaps others might find charm in such theatrics.

And so, this retelling of a familiar tale came to an end, leaving our reviewer with a tumultuous mix of emotions. Slapstick humor, questionable fashion choices, and the unbreakable bond between betrayal and forgiveness were the threads that wove this narrative tapestry. Though it may have fallen short of their expectations, it remained an intriguing chapter in the ever-evolving story of adaptations.

This Thai version of a popular drama brings its own unique flair to the story while staying true to the sweet rom-com genre. The plot revolves around a classic trope of childhood love, but the story develops nicely and keeps viewers engaged. The acting may be exaggerated at times, which is typical of Thai lakorns, but it adds to the overall charm of the show. The comedic timing and smooth transitions between romance, drama, and comedy make for an entertaining watch throughout.

    The main characters, portrayed...

by Fang Neerasingh and Pae Arak Amornsupasiri, have excellent chemistry and bring their characters to life onscreen. Ploy, the female lead, is a strong and resilient character despite her initially unkempt appearance. The gradual development of her character, as well as that of the male lead Kawin, is well-executed. The second male lead, played by Nat Kitcharit, adds an extra layer of sweetness and support to the story, making it easy to root for him as well.

While the drama may have some deviations from previous adaptations, the ending in this Thai version is particularly satisfying. The theme song and instrumental pieces used throughout the drama enhance the overall romantic experience. Although there could have been more kissing scenes, the accidental skinship and adorable moments between the main characters compensate for it.

Overall, "Me You Always" is a delightful and entertaining drama worth watching. Its mix of sweetness, silliness, and laughter, along with a terrific cast and a lovely ending, is enough to keep viewers entertained.
