Together with Chiu Ching Mui, a female legal executive, and Kut Yat Ha, a private investigator, they join forces to champion the rights of the underprivileged. Their determination to seek justice knows no bounds.

However, the arrival of barrister Siu Mei Na complicates matters as she attempts to establish a connection with Sun Hop. As fate would have it, the two find themselves opposing each other in the courtroom. Mei Na enjoys the support of her mentor, Kan Siu Wan, who was once Sun Hop's own mentor during his early days as a trainee. Their mentor-mentee relationship soured due to a homicide case involving a missing body. When Sun Hop presents fresh evidence for the defendant's appeal, he once again clashes with Siu Wan, setting off a chain of intense battles.

The introduction of Mei Na also brings subtle changes to the dynamics within the "iron triangle" formed by Sun Hop, Ching Mui, and Yat Ha. The unfolding story is filled with thrilling twists and turns, revealing the true strength of their collective bond. Don't miss this riveting series as it explores themes of justice, loyalty, and the lengths one will go to for the truth.

Another Impressive Installment: Season S Review

If you're reading this review, chances are you've already watched Season and are eager to know what Season S has in store. It's important to note that this review will largely compare the two seasons, as Season S cannot truly stand alone. So, make sure to watch them in the correct order. Let's dive in!

First, let's talk about the intro and outro songs, as well as the visuals. Unfortunately, there's nothing new here. The intro theme is exactly the same...

as in Season. I was taken aback and not in a good way. Did the creators lack the inspiration to compose a new one? I wasn't a fan of the outro song either, nor the themes in between. However, since I started Season S right after finishing Season, the intro song became familiar to the point where I actually started to like it. So, it wasn't as bothersome.

Moving on to production, direction, and cinematography, Season S takes it to a whole new level. The quality stands out, with aesthetically beautiful visuals that deeply impressed me. And let's not forget the cliché, but undeniably beautifully choreographed, rain dance scene. I found myself rewatching it several times, completely captivated.

The cast and their acting continue to impress. The new additions to the ensemble are excellent in their roles as well. As for the characters, there's not much to say about the Musketeers. The "iron triangle" remains as lovable as ever. But in Season S, we are introduced to new characters, including the old mentor of our main character (let's call him Shifu) and his new trainee (let's call her Eva). These new characters serve as the main rivals for the team, especially in the first part of the show. Both characters are incredibly controversial, with their hidden agendas and intent to make the team's life more difficult. Throughout each episode, I found myself going through a rollercoaster of emotions towards them. I loved them, then hated them, and sympathized with them. They kept me on my toes.

Speaking of Eva, when she first appeared on screen, I didn't like her. Perhaps it was because I missed the mischievous Never, whom I saw Eva as a replacement for. It's always hard to let go of a beloved character. Eva came across as arrogant, strong-headed, and overly competitive, particularly in her flirtatious approach towards the main character. However, it's important to note that this was only her outer layer. Once again, the team manages to find a valuable friend, who proves to be a worthy replacement for Never.

Now, let's talk about the plot. Season S follows the exact same pattern as Season, which was not a bad thing for someone like me who loved Season. It evoked a warm and cozy feeling, as everything became familiar once again. The team continues to fight for the rights of minorities, taking on challenging cases. In the earlier episodes, the new characters often find themselves opposing the team in court. It was truly intriguing to witness the clash between them. In the latter episodes, the cases become more personal, filled with intrigues, plots, traps, and a few unexpected twists. These elements kept me thoroughly engaged throughout Season S.

As for the ending, I didn't expect it. It can be described as an open ending, leaving room for interpretation. But surprisingly, an open ending isn't necessarily a bad one. Personally, I'm not ready to say goodbye to this team just yet. I will miss them dearly. So, whenever they decide to release another season or seasons, count me in!

In conclusion, Season S proved to be another impressive installment. The production, acting, and plot continue to exceed expectations. While it may not bring many surprises and sticks to a familiar formula, it still manages to captivate and offer new twists and turns. So, if you're a fan of Season, you won't be disappointed with Season S. Don't miss out on the opportunity to join this incredible team on their latest adventures.
