Summary:

After quashing his brother's rebellion and ascending to the throne of Qin, the ambitious King Ei Sei sets his sights on unifying China. However, his plans are jeopardized when assassins infiltrate the royal palace. Fortunately, Shin and Ka Ryo Ten come to his rescue, but it becomes clear that there is a traitor within the palace orchestrating the attempts on Ei Sei's life.

To complicate matters further, the neighboring State of Wei launches an invasion on Qin's borders. Shin, accompanied by his friends Bi Hei and Bi Tou, the experienced but non-lethal Taku Kei, and the mysterious Kyou Kai, prepares to enter his first battle as a foot soldier.

As the foot soldiers form a strategic "GO" team, Shin and his comrades face overwhelming odds. The brilliant general of Wei, Go Kei, utilizes his military genius and powerful chariot force to overpower Qin's troops. Meanwhile, Duke Hyou, the esteemed general of Qin, recognizes his army's disadvantage and chooses to wait.

Undeterred, Shin fights fiercely with his swordsmanship, while his companions rely on resourcefulness to survive. Witnessing their triumph, Baku Koshin, a fearless general of Qin, joins them in a reckless assault. With the Fourth Army reeling from the previous day's onslaught, Duke Hyou seizes the opportunity to turn the tide of battle.

As the conflict escalates and chaos ensues, an unexpected figure emerges on the battlefield…

I really wish they would turn this TV series into a live action version, but the budget would have been enormous. As someone who has read the source material, I have to say they stick pretty closely to it, focusing on just one arc from the manga. The casting is outstanding, especially the character of General Ouki. Some of the cuts from the source material were a little noticeable, but considering the time constraints, it was well done! The story keeps you wanting more, and...

I was pleasantly surprised by the casting of Tamaki Hiroshi. I can't wait for the third film! If you're planning to watch this series, make sure to stay for the trailer at the end. You definitely need to watch the first film, and this series is anything but a waste of time. It's a fun, exciting war adventure!
